The Pastor's Word
June 7, 2026
Dear Mother Bethel Family,
Dear Beloved in Christ,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
During this Season of Pentecost, we are reminded that we are a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led
people. The same Holy Spirit who empowered the early Church continues to move among
us today. I believe this is a season of fresh fire at Mother Bethel—a time of renewed prayer,
deeper faith, and bold witness. Let us gather in worship expecting an outpouring of the
Holy Spirit, believing God for healing, restoration, and signs and wonders that draw hearts
back to Christ.
June is also a month of celebration and affirmation. We give thanks for our Scholars and
Class of 2026 and honor their hard work, perseverance, and achievement. Scholars and
Graduates, know that you are covered in prayer and supported by your church family as
you step into new opportunities. You carry a powerful legacy of faith, and we trust God
to order your steps and enlarge your impact.
Additionally, June is Men’s Impact Month at Mother Bethel—a time dedicated to
supporting, uplifting, and affirming the men of our church and community. We celebrate
the fathers, sons, brothers, mentors, and leaders among us who serve faithfully and love
deeply. We also recognize the importance of creating spaces where men are encouraged
spiritually, strengthened emotionally, and equipped to lead with integrity and compassion.
Let us continue to pray for our men, invest in their growth, and stand beside them as they
walk boldly in their calling.
As our nation marks 250 years in 2026, we reflect on our sacred place in both church and
American history. Mother Bethel has long stood as a witness to faith, freedom, and justice.
As we prepare for this milestone, may we recommit ourselves to being a prophetic voice of
hope, unity, and righteousness in this generation.
Mother Bethel Family, I sense that God is calling us higher in this season. Let us pray
with expectation, worship with passion, strengthen our fellowship, and believe together for
a mighty move of the Holy Spirit among us.
With gratitude and hope,
In Christ’s love,
Rev. Cavaness
