The Adult Church School is delighted to invite you to join us for a very special day trip to Cape May, New Jersey — a journey that will connect us to the rich and powerful history of African Americans in one of our nation’s most historic communities. This is a rare opportunity to walk in the footsteps of our ancestors, hear remarkable stories, and deepen our appreciation for the enduring legacy of Black faith, resilience, and community.

JOIN US AS WE EXPLORE:

-A guided walking tour of Cape May’s historic Black community sites

-Presentation by Lynda Towns of historic Black Churches of Cape May, including the Allen African Methodist Episcopal church established by Stephen Smith

-Presentation at the Harriet Tubman Museum, which includes a discussion about Jarena Lee

Breakfast: 7:30AM continental breakfast
Lunch: On your own in Cape May, make your reservations ahead. Once registered, you will receive a recommended list of restaurants
